My Studiobricks modifications

I modified my Studiobricks to reduce reflections, eliminate floor noise and improve the positioning of my microphone and recording equipment.
- Acoustic treatment: Added two Vicoustic panels to the inside of the door,  to reduce reflections.
- Bass trapping: Installed a second Vicoustic bass trap above my head on the front wall. Two GIK Acoustics bass traps at the back, floor level.
- Floor: Removed the adjustable feet to eliminate a persistent creak.
- Microphone positioning: Added a ball adapter to the Yellowtec microphone boom arm for better microphone alignment and manoeuvrability.
- Equipment mounting: Replaced the oversized perspex copy holder with a Yellowtec iPad dock. Added a longer wall pole, repositioned the original pole and mounted a 15-inch Lenovo monitor using a Yellowtec XS mount.
- Desktop treatment: Added a quilt beneath a desk-sized neoprene mat to reduce reflections while retaining a usable work surface.

The result:
A quieter, less boxy recording environment, with improved acoustic control, more flexible equipment positioning and a more comfortable setup for long audiobook recording sessions.
The modifications were informed by feedback from sound engineers, including Jim Edgar, Jeremy Munns and Blackstone Publishing.
